If you are looking for a quick and easy dessert that requires minimal preparation and only 3 ingredients, then Vanilla Ice Cream topped with Hot Raspberry Sauce is your recipe.
The first time I ate Vanilla Ice Cream topped with Hot Raspberry Sauce was in Germany when I visited family for summer vacations. It is a popular dessert in Germany and there it is called "Heisse Liebe:, which translates to "Hot Love" in English.
I am not sure why it is called "Hot Love" other than the fact that you will fall in love with the hot raspberry sauce and creamy vanilla ice cream when you eat it.
Nevertheless, Heisse Liebe is one of my favorite desserts. When I see it on the menu in Germany, I always order it. The presentation is beautiful, and I can't wait to dig my spoon into it and taste the delicious combination of raspberries and vanilla ice cream.
Heise Leibe is so simple to make. Heat frozen raspberries; add a bit of sugar to the berries, and heat them until they break down. Scoop vanilla ice cream into a beautiful serving dish and top it with the hot raspberry sauce. This dessert also looks great served in a nice bowl or juice glass.
The hot raspberry sauce melts the ice cream, and the flavor of the raspberries and the creaminess of the ice cream are perfect together.

Common questions
The great thing about this dessert is that you can use frozen berries. There is no need to thaw them ahead of time.
Fresh raspberries can be used, but you will need to add 2-3 tablespoons of water to them before beginning to cook them.
The raspberry sauce can be made ahead of time. However before you serve it, heat it in the microwave or in a saucepan on the stove. The sauce needs to be hot when it is poured on the ice cream.
The sauce can be cooked in the microwave. Cook it on high and stir it every minute until it boils. Let it boil for 1 minute before serving it on the ice cream.
