Description
Bacon Wrapped Dates are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is sure to please a crowd. The bacon's saltiness and the dates' sweetness are a great flavor combination that explodes in your mouth. The hot honey is optional, but I would try it because it adds a nice kick to the bacon and dates.
Ingredients
- 8 slices bacon, preferably thin slice
- 16 medjool dates
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon Siracha hot chili sauce
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Pit the dates by slicing them lengthwise on one side and removing the pit.

Cut the bacon slices in half crosswise. This will make them the perfect size to wrap around the dates.

Take a pitted date and wrap a piece of bacon around it. Secure the bacon by inserting a toothpick through the bacon and date.

Repeat this process until all the dates are wrapped in bacon.

Place the bacon-wrapped dates on a baking sheet sprayed with pan coating or lined with parchment paper.

White the dates are baking make the hot honey by combining the honey and Siracha hot chili sauce. (optional)

Bake the dates for 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the dates are caramelized.

Brush the dates with hot honey. (optional)

Serve warm. Dates should not sit at room temperature longer than 3 hours.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
Notes
- Toward the end of the bake time, check the dates frequently so they do not overcook and burn.
